[In the left margin] Pope willm Will In the name of god amen the eight day of June 1776I William Pope being in perfect health and sound memory thanks be to God for the same and knowing it is appointed for all men once to die do make and ordain this to be my last will and testament in manner form following first I give my soul to the almighty that gave it me and my body I leave to be buried at the discretion of my Exors hereafter named and touching what worldly goods I have I dispose of them as followeth Imprimis I give and bequeath to my daughter Christian Pope one feather bed and furniture Also one Cow and Calf the her and her heirs for ever Item I give and bequeath unto my son William Pope a Gun that he has in his possession Item I leave the use of my gun at Andrew Pope’s to him during Thomas Pope’s non age and when Thomas Pope arrives at the age of 21 years I give the said gun to Thomas pope and his hies for ever Item I give and bequeath unto Hezekiah Pope one gun to him and his heirs forever Iten I give the use of my hand Mill at my son John Pope’s for the use Andrew Jesse William John Pope &c.
